EU Investigates US gambling ban

The European Union has completed an investigation into the US gambling ban which has affected online gambling companies based in the European Union . It is widely believed that the EU will take umbrage at the US stance on remote gambling and will drag the World Trade Orginization into this dispute. This is a pretty similar tactic to what Antigua used to gain some concessions from the US and we wonder why it has taken so long for the EU to take this matter up.

In a typical politicians statement the EU trade Commissioner stated ” It is for the US to decide how best to regulate Internet gambling in its market, but this must be done in a way that fully respects WTO obligations. I am hopeful that we can find a swift, negotiated solution to this issue”

Now we wander what the EU is going to state about its own member states who continue to ignore the legalization of Online Gambling . in particular we are talking about the markets in Italy and Greece . These countries continue to make it illegal for citizens to place wagers and make bets at online casino establishments.
